COVID Vaccine Update

We are delighted to say that over 10,500 covid vaccines have now been given by our 4 practices – Wymondham Medical, Humbleyard, Windmill and Hingham.

For Wymondham Medical Practice, over 95% of our patients over 70 years of age and over 93% of our shielding patients have had a vaccine, which we think is phenomenal.

If you are in one of those groups and haven’t had a vaccine and would like one, please call us on 01953 713401 to book.

Starting from 15th February, NHS England has asked us to offer vaccines to our patients who are in Cohort 6 – that is all individuals aged between 16 and 64 years of age who have an underlying health condition that puts them at higher risk of disease and mortality, and also those in receipt of a Carer’s allowance or who are the main carer of an elderly or disabled person.

If you have an at risk underlying health condition, we will be contacting you over the next few weeks for a vaccine – please wait for us to contact you.

If you are a Carer and think that we are not aware of this then please feel free to email us to check that we have you on our list, which you can do from our website.

We have been informed that patients aged 65-69 years old (cohort 5) will receive invitation letters from the national booking service, to attend a mass vaccination centre or community pharmacy setting. We are still able to offer a vaccine to you if you are in this cohort but you will not receive a specific invitation from us.

As before, we will be offering most of our vaccines from Cringleford Surgery where members of our team are working alongside staff from the other practices and our amazing team of volunteers to deliver your vaccines.

And, of course, our fabulous team continue to look after all your other health needs from the practice in Wymondham.
